Since the 1st of July 2020, the teams at Capital Cranes & Hoists (AUST) have been extremely busy. The teams have been working on major crane projects, commissioning cranes, and carrying out routine inspections.

Our Service department has carried out over 125 services and repairs, over 40 breakdowns, and 1 crane relocation project. The division welcomed 2 new employees in the service department in August – Brian Porter and Alexander Radonic (pictured left).

The manufacturing and fabrication departments have been equally as busy. They have manufactured 49 cranes in the last 6 months. They have also expanded and welcomed Wade Quince (right picture) as a qualified boilermaker, and Tony Munn (bottom left) as a 2nd-year apprentice.

MAJOR PROJECTS

Capital Cranes & Hoists built 19 cranes for John Holland as part of the expansion project. Alongside this, the manufacturing team has completed cranes for several different businesses around the world. This included a 5-tonne portal crane (for a company in Cambodia), a 10-tonne portal crane and a 1-tonne post crane (project in Northern WA), two 8-tonne and one 6.3-tonne overhead crane – supplied with runways (regional WA), and two 20-tonne overhead cranes (Perth Metro).

The service department was involved in a significant relocation project from one site to another in the Perth Metro Area. This involved taking down 8 cranes, 5 of which were relocated to another workshop, and 3 were decommissioned. This project happened over a number of weeks.

Social Media & Marketing

We decided to make a bigger online presence this year and employed a subcontractor to help us with our Digital Marketing platforms. Genevieve Frawley helps maintain the webpage, update the social media platforms, and write regular newsletters (amongst other jobs). We recently celebrated reaching 300 followers on LinkedIn and 100 followers on Instagram.

A look into next year!

2021 is already looking busy with some exciting major projects in the pipeline for both the service and manufacturing departments. We can’t give out too much information now, but if you want to keep updated you can check our Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn.

We are closed from Friday 18th of December until Monday 4th of Jan 2021. Our 24/7 Emergency breakdown cover is still in operation. If your crane does breakdown and you need a service tech, please call 08 9452 8988 or 0409 117 397.

Christmas Wishes

We wish all our clients, followers, and their families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May 2021 be prosperous for us all.
